Recently, our school received a congratulatory letter from Mr. Rob Dixon, Chairman of the AACSB First Time Accreditation Committee (IAC). He said that at the IAC annual meeting held at AACSB headquarters in the United States on August 2, our pre-accreditation report was passed after a comprehensive, rigorous review and evaluation, indicating our AACSB pre-accreditation stage was finished, and our school successfully entering the AACSB official accreditation stage. He expressed warm congratulations to all the teachers and students in SEBA, and wished a success to our formal accreditation. According to work plan, our school shall prepare and submit a formal accreditation report (SER) this year, and will enter the final sprint to meet the expert panel in the spring of 2017 to conduct site inspection, i.e. first-time official accreditation. AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS are the three major business school accreditation systems in the world, among which AACSB is the most comprehensive and important one. Currently only fewer than 6% of the global business schools have passed the accreditation. Acquisition of AACSB accreditation is an important sign to be a globally outstanding business school. Till August 2016, in the mainland of China, only 17 first-class business schools have passed the accreditation, including Peking University Guanghua School of Management, Tsinghua Unviersity School of Economics and Management, China Europe International Business School, Shanghai Jiaotong University Antai Business School.
